Eat Chicago – Ba Le

Ba Le is a Vietnamese/French infused sandwich shop located in my neighborhood. It’s basically Vietnamese food on amazing french bread. Seriously. The best bread ever.  I first saw Ba Le on Check Please, which is a food show on Chicago’s WTTW, a PBS station. When I moved into my new neighborhood, I knew that I wanted to scope the place out.

Yum!

I picked up a BBQ Pork sandwich and it was fantastic! The veggies were nice and fresh and crunchy and the meat was seasoned just right. I thought the meat would actually be hotter (in temperature) but it was still ok. The bed was extraw crispy with a super soft inside…delicious and it cost just $3.50! I also scooped up a pork eggroll that was a $1.50 and that was really yummy and not greasy.
