This past weekend was quite a bit chilly in the midwest. We experienced record lows on Saturday! What! Yep – 65 degrees at the end of July. Super cray cray! And, although I was super bummed because I had planned on using my first “free” weekend to swim in some clear blue water – we were able to have a pretty easy Saturday with a super fun evening with friends. We were invited over to a craft-beer tasting and were asked to bring a lucky brew for a chance to win a super fun prize – all in celebration of our good friend Pam. We had no clue what kind of beer to get because aren’t really craft beer drinkers, so after staring at the selection at Binny’s, we finally decided on Liberty Ale as our pick. We had no clue what our beer tasted like, but were hopeful that we brought the winner.
We had a great time and tasted a ton of
horrible brews that we now know more information about! Spotted Cow was actually the winner – not our pick, unfortunately. We even got to see our friend, who has been MIA for awhile – so it was great to see her and catch up! After the night went on, the temperature dropped a bit so it was time to bust out the brand new fire pit. JP had fun helping to put it together (it was a collaborative effort by 3 people) and the birthday girl was excited to see the fire going when the finished product was complete! Overall, we had a fun weekend! How did you spend yours?
